Fudo is a wrathful protector very widely worshipped in Japan. Enraged against the enemies of wisdom, virtue and meditation, he is usually positioned as a guardian of the teachings, and of the halls of training. Because of Fudo’s power and potency, his seed syllable is often engraved on samurai swords.
